WE MUST UNDERSTAND CORRUPTION and DECEPTION TO MANIFEST CHANGE

In order for good things and positive change to happen we must know and understand corruption and deception before we can manifest positive change in the world.  It is wonderful to spread love, joy, compassion and laughter but we must remember that there are so many things that we need to be reminded of so that we can act for the greater good of humanity, the environment, human rights or whatever negative issue it is that we want to address.

We, supposedly live in a continent that prides itself on ‘freedom of expression’.  But do we really?  Governments are bullying us into creating legislation that allows them to take away some of our freedoms.  You want to see this in action – watch the amazing Naomi Wolf movie, The End of America or visit her website for other resourceful information.  http://naomiwolf.org/ You can find the movie on YouTube.

Remember the OCCUPY movement – people were arrested all over the globe in peaceful protest against the greedy banks and the increasing gap between those who have everything and those that have little.  There were protests against the invasion of Iraq – with the UN’s backing – but the USA went against the laws of war and attacked anyway.  Banks are corrupt and have cheated so many people out of their money yet, they are handing out bonuses that would take me a lifetime to make (if I was lucky).  Oil companies are destroying the beauty of the planet at an alarming rate and are given free rein to drill wherever they want.  Here is an example:

On September 18, the Greenpeace ship Arctic Sunrise took peaceful action at Gazprom’s Prirazlomnaya platform to stop it from producing the world’s first oil from icy Arctic waters.

The Russian Coast Guard reacted strongly: after firing warning shots and detaining two activists under armed guard, they then seized the ship and have towed it to the port of Murmansk.

We should be outraged – does Russia own the Arctic?  Are there no laws in place to protect this very important area in the world?  Why were they allowed to use force in detaining peaceful protesters?  For more information about this, please visit:   http://www.greenpeace.org/international/en/

It feels like those that have all the power have the upper hand and rely on our submissiveness to continue their deception and corruption.  They believe that the world community can be bullied into silence.  People need to voice their concerns if we want to start a peaceful revolution, a love revolution and a people’s revolution.  Please watch the following video – it is probably the most important 14 minutes that you can spare and share.  You may not believe what you are seeing but you have to ask the questions, you have to make the connections and you have to demand the answers.

This video makes you really think about those ‘shadow people’ that are controlling the world…..what is the cost of not finding out the truth?

There are so many celebrities who are very active in their opposition to those who want to bring the majority to their knees, here are some examples:

  • Daryl Hannah and her passion to fight for the environment.
  • Woody Harrelson and his crusade against the inhumane treatment of animals and the miracles of hemp.
  • Roseanne Barr fighting for a new political party in the United States and her belief in true democracy and freedom.

There are so many people who are conduits for change – WE MUST LISTEN and WE MUST ACT!  Whether you dislike her or not, Madonna has recently made a brief video to start her LOVE REVOLUTION.  Madonna has always been political and has always included images and videos regarding current social and political issues happening around the world during her concerts.  I believe this to be very affective in creating awareness of what is happening and calling on people to act.  Her latest short film is a collaboration with Steven Klein – the message is powerful, the images are powerfuland the message is clear: humanity must begin the REVOLUTION OF LOVE, here is the 17 minute film:

I reiterate:  Do you want to be a conduit for change?  Do you want to start a LOVE REVOLUTION?  Do you want to fight for a better world where we can respect each other, our environment and our planet?  Then you must act – write a blog, join a peaceful protest, support companies that treat their employees well and give back to our environment, stand up to bullying, demand better of big business and governments but most importantly…..SPREAD THE WORD!  Join the revolution.

Together, we can make the world a more positive one!

WHOSE CONTROL ARE YOU UNDER?

I have never witnessed as much mass protesting around the world ever in my lifetime.  Is it because I wasn’t ‘awake’ to notice these protests or is that people have had just about enough from banks, big corporation and corrupt governments and politicians?

Personally, I believe that governments and big corporation/banks etc are working together to ensure that we are distracted so we don’t notice their corruption.  They want their people to turn a blind eye to their greed and corruption.  Most governments are acting to insure the best interest of banks, the oil/automobile industry and big corporations are taken care of while the people continue to struggle.   These distractions come in the form of political scandals, focus on climate change catastrophe’s, war, media manipulation, legislation that takes away people’s freedoms, etc.  Don’t worry about the environment and the devastating effects climate change is having on the planet because the world government’s are taking action by ensuring they invest in sustainable energy like the KXL pipeline and drilling for oil in the Arctic (said in a very sarcastic manner because we all know this isn’t true).

If governments we were interested in preserving our environment and planet, they would be investing in wind farms, solar energy, demanding that the auto industry make electric cars and other fuel-efficient vehicles more affordable.  The auto industry has indicated that there is no real demand for EV’s (electric vehicles) – that isn’t true.  It’s because they sabotaged the publics interest in their demand for them amongst other things.  You can watch the amazing documentaries; Who Killed The Electric Car and Revenge of the Electric Car by Chris Paine to understand the corruption and the power the auto industry has over the American government.

We can continue to be distracted by saving our money to buy the biggest house or the most luxurious car because that is exactly what our government and the banks want.  They want people to remain in debt.  Think about it and think about these things:

  • Is post-secondary eduction affordable for most people?
  • What is the cost of health care? (many American’s can’t afford proper health care/don’t have coverage)
  • Why is processed food much cheaper than food that is healthier for us?
  • Why is soda/pop and sugary drinks much cheaper than water in most places?
  • Why is there so much television programming?
  • Is financial freedom a reality – when so many people are living pay cheque to pay cheque?
  • Why are prescription drugs/alcohol and other drugs much more accessible than clean water and good food for so many people?
  • Why have their been so many amendments to legislation or new laws that infringe on peoples freedoms and rights – post 9/11?  (A good reference for this is watching the documentary The End of America by Naomi Wolf)

Most people don’t want to face the reality of what kind of impact their decision(s) are making on the planet – they just don’t care because society tells us that we are most happy when we have and want more.  We are obsessed with materialism – we have to have a television in every room in our house (what happens when these televisions are no good anymore?), we have to have the latest and best cell phone, computers and other devices (where do they go when they are no use anymore?), the biggest/fastest car (what impact on the environment is having this car have?).  How many times have we really thought about the excessive waste we and our families produces on a daily basis?  We are not doing the best that we can because we are not looking at the bigger picture or the impact that we are having.  Why?  Because we are too distracted.

I am hopeful – I think people are beginning to understand that we must all come together to act for the greater good of the planet.  People around the world are rising up in peaceful protest.  People are becoming aware and the veil of distraction is lifting.  The people of Turkey were successful in their protest against big corporation and greedy governments.  We are seeing mass protests against Arctic drilling and the KXL pipeline – people are beginning to see that ‘dirty oil’ only causes devastation to the environment and wealth for politicians and oil executives.  We must continue to put pressure on our governments and big corporations to act on the best interest of the people and the planet.  Turn off your televisions, nurture your body and mind (try it without the antidepressants or other drugs that are clouding your mind), look within and find your authentic self without the manipulation of those who want to keep you distracted and be the change you want to see in the world and only then………..

Together, we can make the world a more positive one!

PHASE 1 – REMOVING THE BLINDERS (BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING YOU)

I have mentioned many times how most of us are completely blind to what is really going on and how ‘BIG Corporation’ and governments are not acting in the public’s best interests.  We tend to rely on media (television, magazines, newspapers) to report on what is going on in the world and without bias.  Do you think that the media reporting un-biased opinions about the Occupy or Idle-No-More movements.  Are governments censoring what media outlets report?

In order for positive change to be effective and in order for me to stand behind a cause – I need to get some facts and then assess as to whether or not I believe in that cause.  I don’t want to rely on the sensationalism of the news to give me the facts.  Besides, I find that all the major news channels are broadcasting stories to create fear, anxiety, anger and confusion to ensure you support whatever crazy policies that our governments want to impose.  They want us to believe that they are acting for our greater good….but instead, they are taking away many of our rights and civil liberties.  Here are some examples:

After the ‘terrorist attacks’ of September 11, 2001 – The Patriot Act was signed into law by George W. Bush on October 26, 2001.  The act significantly reduced restrictions in law enforcement agencies’ gathering of intelligence within the United States; expanded the Secretary of the Treasury’s authority to regulate financial transactions, particularly those involving foreign individuals and entities; and broadened the discretion of law enforcement and immigration authorities in detaining and deporting immigrants suspected of terrorism-related acts.  The act also expanded the definition of terrorism to include domestic terrorism, thus enlarging the number of activities to which the USA PATRIOT Act’s expanded law enforcement powers can be applied.

From American Civil Liberties Union:

Despite the many amendments to these laws since 9/11, congress and the public have yet to receive real information about how these powerful tools are being used to collect information on Americans and how that information is being used. All of these laws work together to create a surveillance superstructure – and Congress must understand how it really works to create meaningful protections for civil liberties.

The ACLU’s recent report, Reclaiming Patriotism, provides more information on parts of the Patriot Act that need to be amended. The three expiring provisions of the Patriot Act give the government sweeping authority to spy on individuals inside the United States, and in some cases, without any suspicion of wrongdoing. All three should be allowed to expire if they are not amended to include privacy protections to protect personal information from government overreach.

  • Section 215 of the Patriot Act authorizes the government to obtain “any tangible thing” relevant to a terrorism investigation, even if there is no showing that the “thing” pertains to suspected terrorists or terrorist activities. This provision is contrary to traditional notions of search and seizure, which require the government to show reasonable suspicion or probable cause before undertaking an investigation that infringes upon a person’s privacy. Congress must ensure that things collected with this power have a meaningful nexus to suspected terrorist activity or it should be allowed to expire.
  • Section 206 of the Patriot Act, also known as “roving John Doe wiretap” provision, permits the government to obtain intelligence surveillance orders that identify neither the person nor the facility to be tapped. This provision is contrary to traditional notions of search and seizure, which require government to state with particularity what it seeks to search or seize. Section 206 should be amended to mirror similar and longstanding criminal laws that permit roving wiretaps, but require the naming of a specific target. Otherwise, it should expire.
  • Section 6001 of the Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004, or the so-called “Lone Wolf” provision, permits secret intelligence surveillance of non-US persons who are not affiliated with a foreign organization. Such an authorization, granted only in secret courts is subject to abuse and threatens our longtime understandings of the limits of the government’s investigatory powers within the borders of the United States. This provision has never been used and should be allowed to expire outright

In the documentary, The End of America, based on the book by Naomi Wolf – The End of America:  A Letter of Warning to a Young Patriot, Naomi Wolf cautions that there are 10 steps necessary for a fascist group (or government) to destroy the democratic character of a nation-state and subvert the social/political liberty previously exercised by its citizens:

  1. Invoke a terrifying internal and external enemy
  2. Create secret prisons where torture takes place
  3. Develop a thug caste or paramilitary force not answerable to citizens
  4. Set up an internal surveillance system
  5. Harass citizens’ groups
  6. Engage in arbitrary detention and release
  7. Target key individuals
  8. Control the press
  9. Treat all political dissidents as traitors
  10. Suspend the rule of law

4. Set up an internal surveillance system

In Mussolini’s Italy, in Nazi Germany, in communist East Germany, in communist China – in every closed society – secret police spy on ordinary people and encourage neighbours to spy on neighbours. The Stasi needed to keep only a minority of East Germans under surveillance to convince a majority that they themselves were being watched.

In 2005 and 2006, when James Risen and Eric Lichtblau wrote in the New York Times about a secret state programme to wiretap citizens’ phones, read their emails and follow international financial transactions, it became clear to ordinary Americans that they, too, could be under state scrutiny.

In closed societies, this surveillance is cast as being about “national security”; the true function is to keep citizens docile and inhibit their activism and dissent.

If we don’t inform ourselves about the policies that our governments want to impose on us, then more of our civil liberties will be taken away from us.  We must be vigilant and hold our governments accountable for their actions and we must let them know that we will not allow this.  What can we do?  We must engage in peaceful protests – there is much power when individuals come together and march to stop any injustices.  Don’t be fooled with what you see on television when the media reports falsities about these peaceful protests.  We have seen it during the Occupy Movement – when the media reported the negative aspects of this movement, indicating that the movement wasn’t focused and unorganized.

If we continue to live without removing our blinders, how can we create positive change in our world?  We need to remove them, wake up and become aware of what is going on!  Are you awake?

WHAT HOPE HAVE WE?

As many people know….I am not a huge fan of television.  Most of the programs that are on are rubbish and are completely void of provoking thought to act for the greater good of the planet and mankind.  News injects fear, anxiety and paranoia into everyone’s minds – how often do you see a story of kindness, love and compassion?  The news reports mostly negative stories of war, murder, deceit and the lies that big oil, pharmaceutical and auto industries tell us – not to mention all the bullshit that our politicians are spewing on behalf of those industries.

Most of us do want a better world and it is possible if we don’t allow our governments and these big industries to shut us up!  We have seen governments all over the world stop the efforts and the protests of the ‘Occupy’ movement.  Naomi Wolf proves this in her documentary ‘The End of America’ by giving examples the nations have followed in order to close open societies, here they are:

  1. Invoke a terrifying internal and external enemy
  2. Create a gulag system
  3. Develop a thug caste
  4. Set up an internal surveillance system
  5. Harass citizens’ groups
  6. Engage in arbitrary detention and release
  7. Target key individuals
  8. Control the press
  9. Dissent equals treason
  10. Suspend the rule of law

These 10 steps are being invoked now in America and possibly Canada – think about the peaceful demonstrations of the Occupy movement and our governments and media calling them ‘unruly’ and ‘there is no clear objective to these protests’ – it is clear to me that most of us were pissed about the corruption and greed of financial institutions around the world.

Another documentary that really puts into perspective the greed, lies and corruption of politicians and big corporations is ‘The Big Fix’ by Josh and Rebecca Tickell.  This movie uncovers the truth about what happened and what continues to happen in the Gulf of Mexico after the Deepwater Horizon offshore drilling rig run by BP sunk into the Gulf of Mexico creating the worst oil spill in history.  For what?  So that the executives in big oil can reap the profits of these catastrophes.  The politicians are just as corrupt for not standing up to the bullying tactics of these oil companies in fact, most politicians take bribes from the oil companies to ensure they are not regulated.

A key issue now is the Arctic – here is the synopsis from Save The Arctic – www.savethearctic.org :

The Arctic ice we all depend on is disappearing.  FAST.

In the last 30 years, we’ve lost as much as three-quarters of the floating sea ice cover at the top of the world.  The volume of that sea ice measured by satellites in the summer, when it reaches its smallest, has shrunk so fast that scientists say it’s now in a ‘death spiral’.  For over 800,000 years, ice has been a permanent feature of the Arctic ocean.  It’s melting because of our use of dirty fossil fuel energy, and in the near future it could be ice-free for the first time since humans walked the Earth.  This would be not only devastating for the people, polar bears, narwhals, walruses and other species that live there – but for the rest of us too.

The ice at the top of the world reflects much of the sun’s heat back into space and keeps our whole planet cool, stabilising the weather system’s that we depend on to grow our food.  Protecting the ice means protecting us all.

Oil Drilling

A new Arctic oil rush is starting.  Shell, BP, Exxon, Gaxprom, Rosneft and others want to risk a devastating Arctic oil spill for only 3 years’ worth of oil.  The same dirty energy companies that caused the Arctic to melt in the first place are looking to profit from the disappearing ice.  They want to open up a new oil frontier to get at a potential 90 barrels of oil.  That’s a lot of money to them, but it’s only three years’ worth of oil to the world.

Previously classified government documents say dealing with oil spills in the freezing waters is “almost impossible” and inevitable mistakes would shatter the fragile Arctic environment.  To drill in the Arctic, oil companies have to drag icebergs out-of-the-way of their rigs and use giant hoses to melt floating ice with warm water.  If we let them do this, a catastrophic oil spill is just a matter of time.  We’ve seen the extreme damage caused by the Exxon Valdez and Deepwater Horizon disasters – we cannot let this happen in the Arctic.

Industrial Fishing

Industrial fishing fleets are starting to trawl Arctic waters.  Local people have fished sustainably in the Arctic for thousands of years, but that could be threatened if we let giant fishing companies exploit the Arctic Ocean.

Conflict

Arctic nations are preparing for possible conflict over the Arctic.  As the Wikileaks cables show, the US has spoken of “increased military threats in the Arctic” and Russia has predicted “armed intervention” in the future.  Countries are spending billions on Arctic weaponry, threatening the long-term peace of the region.  Nuclear-powered ice-breakers, submarines and fighter jets are being purchased by Arctic states with overlapping claims on the area around the North Pole.  The best way to maintain the peace there is to make its resources off-limits.  That’s why we’re campaigning for a global sanctuary and a ban on oil drilling and industrial fishing.  Just like in Antarctica, we need an Arctic Ocean dedicated to peace and science.

NO COUNTRY OWNS THE ARCTIC and IT SHOULD STAY THAT WAY!

There is no government or army to protect the Arctic, only countries and companies looking to carve it up.

There are seven billion of us on our planet.  Each and every one of us is affected by the health of the Arctic:  by reflecting the sun’s rays off its ice, the Arctic shapes our weather patterns and food we grow and eat.  But the Arctic is the frontline of our warming climate – heating up twice as fast as anywhere else.  It’s also the frontline of the oil industry – one of the dirty, dead fuels responsible for the melting in the first place.  By stopping the new oil rush in the Arctic we are creating the conditions for a radical change in how we power our lives, accelerating the clean energy revolution that will fuel the future for our children.  We know we’re going up against the most powerful countries and companies in the world.  BUT together we have something stronger than any country’s military or any company’s budget.  Our shared concern for the planet we leave our children transcends all the borders that divide us and make us – together – the most powerful force today.  That is why we’re taking your name – and millions of others – the North Pole with a Flag for the Future designed by the youth of the world.  It will show that our shared vision of a green, peaceful, healthy planet depends on an Arctic protected by us all.  But the flag is only a symbol.  We’ll be taking your voice to every political leader in the world to ask them where they stand on the Arctic.  One by one, as our movement gathers momentum, we’ll turn towards the United Nations, where we’ll demand a global deal to protect the Arctic.

30 years ago we launched a similar campaign to protect the Antarctic.  Nobody thought we would succeed, but we did, and we created a world park around the South Pole.  Now the Arctic is calling.

ARE WE LISTENING????

What are the consequences of not standing up to big institutions such as Wall Street, oil, pharmaceuticals, meat, agriculture and our governments?  We witnessed the worst financial crisis since The Great Depression, we have had some of the worst environment disasters in the last 50 years, hundreds of thousands of people are dying from mis-proper use of medication, we have an obese and unhealthy population and are food and water supply is contaminated and genetically modified.

I urge anyone who is reading this blog – please share this with everyone you know and let us create a global movement for positive change.  We know that one person can make a big difference in the world – imagine the outcome when all of us collectively cry out for positive change.

Please add your name to the already  2,121,023 that have signed – the goal is to have 3,000,000 but I know that we can definitely get more.  Please, please, please share this link and the link to my site with all of your friends and family.  Of all the posts I have made on this blog – this is by far the most important.  Sign your name here:
